Albert Mercadante Service Information

Albert V. Mercadante died peacefully on September 14, 2023.  Albert was married to his beloved wife Marian (nee Galdi) for 67 years.  Together they raised 5 children, Maryann, Donna (Tom), Albert (Jane), David (Maria), and Paul. Albert was also the proud Pop Pop to ten grandchildren, Billy (Rachel), Chris (MaryKate), Laura (Jeff), Melissa (Jonathan), David, Rebecca (John), Dan (Christine), Vincent, Gianna and Siara and 9 great-grandchildren, Brayden, Harper, Jonathan, George, Christopher, Nathan, Layla, Josephine and Max.

Albert worked for the USPS for 50+ years.  He enjoyed family gatherings, Christmas Eve and summer.  Everyone admired his calm demeanor and enjoyed laughing at his silly jokes.

As you remember Al, raise a glass of wine, anisette, or Manhattan and celebrate a beautiful soul.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, September 20^th from 9:15 to 10:15am at St. Matthew’s Church, 3000 Cottman Ave Phila 19149.  His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers family would prefer donations to St. Matthew's School.
