Condolences for Kevin Rease, Jr.

Ryan EstesWednesday, November 22nd

You are one of a kind, a beautiful soul that’s loved by so many people. I miss all the times where Selita and I kidnapped you just to hang out or when I drove you to the gym or when we got to go out together and see our nerdy movies because nobody else understood why we liked them so much. We had a lot of good talks and a lot of discussions on where you were going to be in life. You’ve always made me laugh. You’ve always made me feel like I was excepted in the family. You always made me feel like I was one of your own like I was your brother. I’ll continue to cherish every single memory I have of you, as well as all the time we had spent. You make me proud to call you my brother.Wakanda Forever

My loving baby brother … I’ll always be your big sister/second mom. I loved taking care of you and watching you grow. Your smile was my favorite & us being goofy together. We have so much good memories together that I will forever keep close to my heart. Thank you for always being there for me and being such an awesome uncle to Aubrey. I forgive you because I’ll always love you!

. I’d say it was only about three years ago that I felt like we( Kevin and I)could have heartfelt conversations and really relate to each other. I’ve always felt so close to you but it wasn’t until we started having more of those conversations and you opening up to me more that I felt I could really connect with you. I really thought that I would have a future where we’d only have more of these conversations but it only makes me cherish the ones we did have. I’ll always appreciate the times where we could actually be on the same page. When I could feel apart of your world and let you know that I’m always here and happy to hear from you, no matter what

I can never understand the pain you must feel. Just knowing the pain you and your family is going through truly breaks my heart. I just pray that in time you may begin to heal. Kevin was such a wonder person. The one thing that always stood out to me was his big smile and the love he had for the boys.

Kevin passed recently and it hurt as if I lost a brother. Even though Kevin was my uncle I always saw him as a brother. Kevin will be missed by all his family because his spirit was one of a kind and he always lite up a room with his smile. Even though he is gone he will always be with us and watching over us.

Hey Kev, this is Duck. I was so sorry to hear about your son. My condolences to you and your family. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to the service because I’m out of town. But if you ever need to talk and an ear to listen I’m a phone call away.

I met Kevin my freshman year at Pitt in 2016. As a scrawny freshman looking to make some friends with positive attitudes and a passion for lifting weights, he took me under his wing.

We worked out together regularly and he showed me most of what I know today when it comes to working out and the importance of “eating big to get big”.

Never had a dull moment and shared thousands of laughs and smiles with him and other friends who loved him dearly.

My condolences to the Rease family, may he fly high and know that he left a timeless impact on me and countless others.
